Phoenix Phestival

by Patrick Woida

June 21, 2008 - As I write, I've just watched the sunset on the longest day of the year on Earth, the Summer Solstice. Mars is also about to celebrate its Summer Solstice this week as well on June 25th.

So the Phoenix Martians have much to celebrate, our short respite to rejoin a sun-synced existence on Earth (8am to 5pm schedule for me), the vanishing ice cubes, all occurring in time for the seasonal festival of the peak daylight for both worlds where we split our lives.

So a holiday for Phoenix and her team....
