Where in the World?Members of the Phoenix mission get to travel all over the world as part of their job. Sometimes they bring along a special member of the team -- Phil. Phil is a toy phoenix bird whose job is to help mission team members remember all the interesting places they have been. And although he has wings, Phil prefers the comfort of an airplane to traditional flying. Be sure to check back often; you never know where Phil will land next. with project management at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory and development partnership with Lockheed Martin Space Systems.
International contributions are provided by the Canadian Space Agency; the University of Neuchatel, Switzerland; the universities of Copenhagen and Aarhus Denmark; the Max Planck Institute, Germany; and the the Finnish Meteorological Institute.
