Gary Parks has over 30 years experience developing scientific instruments and spacecraft, including VLBI, submillimeter and infrared remote sensing, optical interferometry, astrophysical observatories and space technology.  Prior to joining the Phoenix team as Spacecraft Manager (aka Flight System Manager), Gary was project manager on NASA’s contribution to the international Herschel and Planck projects, where the US participation inserted seven new technologies into these powerful new astrophysics missions.
