Screen Saver Troubleshooting

Vista users

You may experience some compatibility issues while installing and uninstalling the screen saver, depending on your security settings. If you have trouble installing the screen saver, quit the installation program and launch it again by right clicking on the executable and selecting "Run as administrator" instead of double clicking as usual. Proceed as normal to "Add" the screen saver. Similarly, if you attempt to uninstall the screen saver using the "Programs and Features" control panel, you may be unsuccessful. If so, locate the original installation executable (or download it again), and again launch it by right clicking and selecting "Run as administrator". You will then be able to "Remove" the screen saver using the built-in functionality.

Make sure to check your color quality setting of your display. Images may fail to draw properly in the screen saver if your color quality is set too low. To check your display's color quality setting in Windows XP, right click on your desktop and select "Properties". Select the "Settings" tab and look at the "Color quality" box. Select either 24 or 32 bit. To check your color quality in Windows Vista, right click on your desktop and select "Personalize". Select the "Display settings" button and look for the "Color" box in the resulting dialog. Select either 24 or 32 bit.
